Hour: Graduates must check in from 9 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. The ceremony starts at 10 a.m.
Venue: Aula Magna – Rectorate Building, Universidade de Lisboa

The 15th Graduation Day will take place on March 16, 2024, Saturday, at 10 a.m. The graduates who completed their Master’s Degrees (Integrated Cycle and 2nd Cycle) and Doctoral degrees (3rd Cycle) up to December 2023(*) will receive their certificates during the ceremony. The solemn session will take place in Aula Magna, Universidade de Lisboa.

Programme

9.00 a.m. / 9.30 a.m. – Check-in of graduates
10.00 a.m. – Opening Session
10.05 a.m. – Certificates Award Ceremony
11.25 a.m. – Speech by the President of Instituto Superior Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço
11.35 a.m. – Speech by Engineer Catarina Farinha | Alumna
11.40 a.m. – Speech by Doctor Ana Rita Martins | Recent graduate – 3rd cycle
11.45 a.m. – Speech by Engineer Francisco Santos | Recent graduate – 2nd cycle
11.50 a.m. – Speech by the Rector of Universidade de Lisboa, professor Luís Ferreira
12.00 p.m. – Closing Session
12.00 p.m. – Musical performance: Tuna Feminina do Instituto Superior Técnico (TFIST)

Family and friends of each alumnus/alumna are invited to attend the ceremony but will not be seated next to the graduates during the ceremony. Seats for family and friends are subject to space and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Graduates may register for the ceremony using the pop-up form (after logging in) on the Fénix platform, until 25 February.

(*) NB.: The certificate delivered on Graduation Day is symbolic.
The official document – the Degree Registration Certificate – should be requested in the Academic Services Office:
– 2nd Cycle (Master’s Degree): Graduate Area (students from Alameda Campus) or Academic Management Area (students from Taguspark Campus), using the application form for this purpose.
– 3rd Cycle (Doctoral Degree): Post-graduation Area (students from both campi).
