A collection of objects related to different fields, such as science, music, arts and sports, is the starting point for conversations with people who will tell us more about the history of these objects.

Manuel Abreu Faro was one of the greatest Portuguese scientists of the 20th century. He helped create conditions for a substantial growth in the number of scientists in Portugal, and he marked different generations of Técnico students with his unforgettable theoretical classes in the field of telecommunications and electronics. An electromagnet kit has been recently discovered in his old office, which demonstrates that he also had a genuine interest in technology and to prove what he taught. The object allows to perform multiple electromagnetism experiments. It is exhibited at the Faraday Museum and inspires the Técnico students to do scientific experiments.
