The Tra Visions 2020 Young Researcher Competition is aimed at young researchers who want to showcase their innovative ideas in the transport field (Road, Rail, Waterborne, Airborne and Crossmodality).

The registration period will be open until 30/06/2019, where all the participants are invited to register their ideas and submit a title and a short abstract of their ideas for the Young Researcher Competition. Participants will then have a four-month period (until 31/10/2019) to further develop their proposal into a final project.

There will be 3 winning ideas per transport mode. The winning young researcher prizes per mode consist of 1st (5000€), 2nd (3000€) and 3rd runner-up (2000€). All finalists will be given a certificate acknowledging their achievement.

The competition is open to University and Technical Institute students pursuing (or recently completed) a BSc, MSc, PhD from across the European Union. Those who graduated earlier than the 1st of January 2018 are not eligible to apply

Regulations and important information.

The award ceremony will take place during the conference “2020 Transport Research Arena: Rethinking transport – towards clean and inclusive mobility” (TRA 2020), to be held from 27th to 30th April 2020, in Helsinki.
