«The Interdisciplinary Thematic Network on Smart Urban Mobility (redeMOV) at Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa), announces the Conference “DIGITAL TWIN em mobilidade porquê?”, on 10 December 2024, at 5 p.m., in TTC@ULisboa Auditorium. The conference is part of the Conference Series “Conversas à Terça” and will be presented by Paulo Humanes (CiTUA – Centre for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture).
Digital Twin technology enables greater connectivity between organisations, products and customers. These elements are extremely important in mobilty: identifying and testing, avoiding errors and understanding how mobility interacts with other system elements . It’s something that’s used by many mobility decision-makers, but is usually fixed in specific areas. This conference aims to explore examples and stories of how these systems are being used, where they are evolving, and how technology is positioned in this evolution. This session will address the crucial role that these tools can play in developing planning policies and solutions, as well as what is happening in Portugal in this area.
The redeMOV organises the “Conversas à Terça”, a monthly conference series that aims to be a space for debate and reflection on urban mobility.»
