Universidade de Lisboa joins the Orquestra Médica Ibérica’s (Iberian Medical Orchestra) Charity Concert, featuring Mário Laginha, and the Australian Corpus Medicorum Orchestra.
The concert will take place in Aula Magna of Universidade de Lisboa on 6 September 2025, at 6 p.m., as part of Music at Universidade de Lisboa.
The purpose is simple: to unite musicians and melodies around the Corações Com Coroa (CCC) project, which has already positively impacted the lives of over 1,000 girls and women.
Chaired by Catarina Furtado, Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund, CCC works to defend human rights and their effective application, with a special focus on projects that empower girls and women.
Composed of doctors and medical students from Portugal and Spain, the Iberian Medical Orchestra has come together to promote universal access to quality healthcare. It currently has around 400 registered musicians from more than 40 cities across the Iberian Peninsula.
The Iberian medical Orchestra has performed in Lisbon, Braga, Barcelona, Madrid, Porto, and Granada, and has already raised over €45,000 for different causes.
Proceeds will go to the Corações Com Coroa Association.
