The 9th edition of the PhD Open Days event will take place from 27 to 29 November in the Great Hall of Instituto Superior Técnico. It is an opportunity for PhD students to socialise and share their research with the academic community, companies and alumni.
The event will include the official launch of the new IST PhD School, a welcome ceremony for new PhD students, three plenary lectures in cutting-edge research areas, a session with former Técnico PhD students and an entire afternoon dedicated to job market-oriented lectures and speed-dating with employers of PhD graduates. The first day is fully dedicated to open “PhD Workshops” on selected themes from technical to soft skills.
There will also be a Pitch Competition and a permanent poster exhibition with the latest doctoral research carried out at Técnico.
The event will end with the “Out of the Box” debate on the theme of leadership.
