The 7th edition of BEST Inside View took place this Thursday at Instituto Superior Técnico (Salão Nobre). This is a job shadowing and mentoring event that will provide Técnico students with an experience of what it is like to perform a certain type of work by accompanying experienced workers as they perform the targeted job. According to the organisation, BEST Inside View aims to provide “development and job opportunities for students and, at the same time, provide companies an opportunity to recruit the best students of the country”.

Professor Luís Caldas de Oliveira, vice-president of IST for Entrepreneurship and Corporate Relations, began his speech speaking about the evolution of BEST in the last seven years. The vice-president highlighted the advantages of job shadowing and considers BEST “very important”.

Several alumnus attended this session: Frederico Felisberto shared his experience at BEST and Opensoft, a company where he started to work after he joined BEST. Fernando Vieira, representative of Santander, highlighted the similarities between Santander and BEST, namely regarding the “best job conditions, personal development and training”.
