Entrepreneurship, innovation and employability are some of the topics that will be approached at the Business and Technology Week (SET). Representatives of several companies will participate in the event to share their activities, projects, working methods and recruitment needs.
The president of Instituto Superior Técnico, professor Arlindo Oliveira, attended the opening session and highlighted the relevance of this event as it “allows to think and foresee future opportunities”. “Listen to what companies have to say to you”, he advised.
Stephan Morais, Executive Board member at Caixa Capital and Técnico alumnus was the first speaker at SET. During his lecture he talked about the most important aspects of a project: “an idea must be unique and ten times better than the previous one, reaching as many people as possible”. He also underlined the importance of his academic training at Técnico “It is no coincidence that many relevant people of our society graduated in this school”.
Several students from Taguspark campus are involved in SET’s organisation. João Oliveira is one of these students and left a message to the audience: ”Don’t be afraid, just participate and enjoy”.
Sonae, Leroy Merlin, Thales and Uniplaces are some of the companies that will participate in this event.
