Best Master Thesis in Hydrogen Technologies by Técnico alumna

Agata Horwacik was recently awarded by the Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon.

The Técnico alumna Agata Horwacik (Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering and Management), was awarded for the best Master’s thesis in Hydrogen Technologies, by the Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon. The award, which amounts to €1000 euros, has the support of Vea-Global. The award ceremony took place last February.

Agata Horwacik’s work titled “Technological and economic evaluation of hydrogen energy conversion systems based on gas turbines” was supervised by professors Edgar Fernandes (Department of Mechanical Engineering – DEM) and Rui Costa Neto, researchers at IN+. The work consists of a technological and economical assessment on hydrogen energy conversion systems based in Gas Turbines

These awards aim to stimulate research, at the highest level, and the study and knowledge of technologies related to the use of hydrogen as an energy vector, renewable energies and the decarbonisation of the transport and energy sector.

Agata Horwacik, who currently works as a Specialist Technician at the Fundación para el Desarrollo de las Nuevas Tecnologías del Hidrénio en Aragón, received the award from the Vice President of the Government of Aragon and Regional Minister of Industry, Arturo Aliaga, and the Vea -Global representative, Ms. Ángela Laguna Abad.
