BPI awards for student groups

The BPI awards ceremony for student groups at Técnico took place this Tuesday at Alameda campus.

Professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Técnico, attended the ceremony and noted that these awards “are very important” once they “support the activities that make a difference in the school’s life”. “Students develop extremely useful skills with the support of student groups”, he said. “Tell your colleagues to contact Técnico advisory board if they have interesting ideas”.

Engineer José Pena Amaral, executive director at BPI bank, took the opportunity to refer the “very old” relationship between the school and the bank. “We are very interested to involve students in such projects and we are committed to continue doing so”, he said.

The awarded projects within programme CA2ECTécnico, were:

Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) – IEEE-IST Student Branch;
BALUA – SSETI-IST;
Técnico Drone Race – HackerSchool;
N3E Magazine – N3E.
