Career Training Workshops 2023 – Fall Edition

The event will take place between 14th November and 12th December 2023

The Career Training Workshops are back for another Fall Edition, between 14th November and 12th December.

These workshops are taught by professionals from companies with recognised experience in recruitment and selection processes. Each training module will last about 2 hours with a group of 20 to 30 students.

The participants will have the opportunity to learn how to build their CV, write a motivation letter, improve their LinkedIn profile, or even communication techniques.

The workshops will take place as follows:

14th November
Hour: 5.30 p.m.
Venue: Alameda Campus
“Empower your CV & Cover Letter by BCG” – by Boston Consulting Group (BCG). This workshop is a unique opportunity for creating a resume and a cover letter that will capture the attention of potential employers.

“Ace the Interview by Kearney” – Kearney will share strategies and tools that will participants stand out in job interviews, increasing their confidence in such a stressful but crucial stage.

“How to effectively interact with your audience & leverage vocal tone and body language by CISCO” – In this session, Cisco employees will share the tools to improve communication skills, namely voice tone and body language.

“LinkedIn – Building a Five Star profile by Deloitte” – Deloitte will share how to optimise LinkedIn profiles to attract more connections and the right opportunities in the professional world.

Venue: Alameda Campus
“Storytelling: The best ally of your Career” – this session aims to enhance the personal brand of Técnico students and graduates through storytelling, an effective communication tool to attract, retain, and engage the audience. It’s a way to stand out in both the university and the job market.

By participating in one of the Career Center activities, students can request a certificate of participation that can be used to apply for accreditation of extracurricular activities. To this end, it is necessary to send an e-mail to careercenter@tecnico.ulisboa.pt after the event.
