Career Training Workshops | Winter Edition: Registration is open

The Career Training Workshops are back from 19 November to 4 December 2024.

The Career Training Workshops are training sessions led by professionals from companies with recognised experience in recruitment and selection processes. Each training module will last about 2 hours with a group of 20 to 30 students.

Four sessions will take place in the next few months:

“Crack the Case by McKinsey”
Date: 19 November
Hour: 5.30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to practice case study interviews and enhance problem-solving skills.

“Empower your CV and Cover Letter by BCG”
Date: 20 November
Hour: 5.30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Description:
Participants will explore the different stages of the recruitment process, with a special focus on creating a CV and cover letter. Rita Mendia, Recruiting Manager at BCG, responsible for talent attraction and recruitment at the Lisbon office, will share the soft skills that Boston Consulting Group values in candidates and how these qualities can be highlighted in a CV and cover letter to make them more appealing to recruiters.

“Effective Communication Skills for Recruitment by Kearney”

Kearney is a global leader in management consulting. In this workshop, the company will share strategies and practical techniques to enhance the ability to communicate with clarity, impact, and confidence—from written to oral communication.

“LinkedIn – Building a Five Star profile by Deloitte”

Hour: 5.30 p.m.-7.30 p.m.
Venue: V1.12, Civil Engineering Building

Description:
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to improve the main sections of their profile and update it in real time. During this workshop, they will learn how to enhance the following sections:

  • Title
  • Summary
  • Professional Experience
  • Education
  • Skills and Recommendations
  • Other sections where they may need support

By participating in one of the Career Center activities, students can request a certificate of participation that can be used to apply for accreditation of extracurricular activities. To this end, it is necessary to send an e-mail to careercenter@tecnico.ulisboa.pt after the event.
