Entrepreneurship Program – Applications Open

Faber Entrepreneurship Program is aimed at masters and doctoral students of Técnico.

Applications are now open for the Faber Entrepreneurship Program in partnership with Técnico.

Faber Entrepreneurship Program is aimed at masters and doctoral students of Técnico who want to learn how to transform innovative ideas into new businesses in technological areas through contact with entrepreneurs and investors. The program is also open to students with an interest in the topic despite not having an innovative idea.

The program includes two stages. Stage 1 comprises 12 weeks with 4-hour training sessions (from March to May 2023). Stage 2 comprises a summer internship at a start-up of Faber’s portfolio. Students can attend the 12 training weeks (stage 1) or the 12 training weeks and the summer internship (stage 1+ stage 2). Access to the program is free and does not require students to have a previous idea to develop.

The sessions of stage 1 will take place in a hybrid format (with some sessions with speakers online and some sessions with speakers face-to-face). Participants may attend all the sessions remotely. Técnico will also provide a room for participants, at Alameda Campus, for all sessions of stage 1 (every Thursday afternoon) during remote or face-to-face sessions.

Currently, the program is not automatically awarded credit recognition at Técnico. However, students may request ECTS credits for the activity according to Técnico’s rules for extracurricular activities.

Candidate selection will be done by evaluation of the student’s CV and motivation to participate in the program.

Faber is an early-stage venture capital fund focused on artificial intelligence, data science, web3, and climate and ocean technology. In its investment portfolio, it has about 40 technology-based start-ups.
