Galp joined the Técnico Partner Network this Tuesday, December 20. The signing ceremony took place at Instituto Superior Técnico.
The Vice-President of Técnico for Operations and Corporate Partnerships, professor Pedro Amaral, stressed “it is an honour that Galp has joined our partner network”.
“This is an important protocol for Técnico and for all of us”, said the President of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, who also highlighted that this partnership will allow Galp to support the student groups and laboratories. “The Técnico Partner Network is a stepping stone to our mission, which is to create value for the country”, he added.
Dr. Ana Casaca, Global Head of Innovation at Galp, began her speech by saying “it is with great pleasure that we are here today to officially join the Técnico Partner Network” and then mentioned that Galp is committed to the energy transition, innovation and creation of skilled workforce, which is vital for a competitive and dynamic economy. Ana Casaca also highlighted Galp’s commitment to supporting the country’s scientific and technological system.
The ceremony also included the inauguration of the Galp Smart Store at Alameda campus and a visit to the laboratory supported by Galp that will be used by several student groups to create prototypes. The student groups that will use this laboratory for projects related to green energy and energy transition are AeroTéc – Aerospace Engineering Student Group, Fórum Mecânica – Mechanical Engineering Student Group, FST Lisboa – Formula Student Team, TLMoto – Projeto Técnico Lisboa Moto, TSBoat – Técnico Solar Boat, PSEM – Projeto de Sustentabilidade Energética Móvel and TFCell – Técnico Fuel Cell.
