IST Press published the 5th edition of the book “Programação em Phyton. Introdução à Programação Utilizando Múltiplos Paradigmas”, by João Pavão Martins, retired Técnico professor (Department of Computer Science and Engineering).

The book presents an introduction to the fundamental concepts of programming and uses Python as a tool to express the concepts included. It aims to teach key concepts associated with programming, such as the top-down development of algorithms, the use of appropriate information structures, procedural abstraction and data abstraction, strategies for testing, debugging and correct documentation.
