Junior Enterprises Europe (JE Europe) has distinguished the Junior Enterprises at Instituto Superior Técnico (JUNITEC) as “Junior Enterprise of the Year”, in Europe. The announcement of the award took place on March 12, at the JE Europe Winter Conference, in Brussels.

The award refers to the work developed in 2022. JUNITEC is the first Portuguese junior enterprise awarded by JE Europe.

The award, which rewards the European Junior Enterprises that stood out in the previous year for their excellence, is given in the framework of the European Excellence Awards by Junior Enterprises Europe (JE Europe), an initiative that represents more than 34.000 students from 380 Junior Enterprises across 16 European countries.

According to Ana Matos, president of JUNITEC, “this award is another big step in JUNITEC’s long journey […] and proves that Técnico students and JUNITEC members are at the forefront of technology”.
