The Undergraduate Programme in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering and the Master’s Programme in Mining and Geological Engineering taught in the Department of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineering (DER) at Instituto Superior Técnico have been awarded the EUR-ACE (European Accredited Engineer) seal, a European certification granted to higher education engineering courses that meet the criteria set by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE).
The EUR-ACE Accreditation applies to 1st and 2nd cycle programmes, as well as integrated master’s programmes, and recognises compliance with European standards in various areas, including academic training, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, quality assurance mechanisms and connections to the professional sector. The certification has international validity, enhancing the academic and professional mobility of graduates within Europe.
