The Social Canteen at Técnico – Alameda campus, beside the Students’ Union building, will begin a rehabilitation works (already necessary for some time) aiming improving and slightly expanding the current facilities, as well as preparing the space to include study areas for students.
Therefore, on 1st June 2022, Thursday, it will no longer be possible to use this space, so, also on this day, a canteen in the Mathematics building (floor 0) will be opened in its place, on a provisional basis. Meal prices will be identical to the prices in force in the canteen and the opening hours (social meals, working days) remain:
- 12:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. – lunch
- 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – dinner.
Please consider the occurrence of some constraints in the coming days, taking into account what will be a natural adaptation to this situation.
In order to increase the service period, this temporary space will be open to the academic community, from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. During this period, a bar service is also open on site, so that a set of lighter meals is available throughout the day and thus minimize the disturbances caused by the reduction of available space in the usual meals’ timeline.
In addition, Técnico’s students can use other Food Units of the “Serviços de Ação Social da Universidade de Lisboa (SASULisboa)”, namely
- Agronomia (School of Agriculture – ISA)
- Belas-Artes (Faculty of Fine Arts)
- Ajuda Campus (ULisboa Campus of Ajuda)
- Cantina Velha
- Economia e Gestão (School of Economics and Management – ISEG)
- 3Is space (Institute for Interdisciplinary Research – 3Is)
- Motricidade Humana (Faculty of Human Kinetics – FMH)
- Técnico (Taguspark).
Técnico’s Governing Board expect the works to be completed within 10 months.
