This Wednesday, January 4, the President of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, inducted the new Heads of Department for the next two years.

The new Heads of Departments are:
Professor António Pinheiro (Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Georesources);
Professor Catarina Lorenz (Department of Nuclear Sciences and Engineering);
Professor Ilídio Lopes (Department of Physics);
Professor Maria João Pereira (Department of Mining and Energy Resources Engineering);
Professor Miguel Pupo Correia (Department of Computer Science and Engineering).

Professors Ana Póvoa (Department of Engineering and Management), João Pedro Conde (Department of Bioengineering), José Santos Victor (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and Teresa Duarte (Department of Chemical Engineering) were reappointed.

The Heads of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Mathematics – professors Pedro Coelho and José Mourão – did not take office because they had a four-year mandate.
