The tb.lx by Daimler Trucks & Buses scholarship was awarded on the morning of December 2, in the Meeting Room of the Main Building at Técnico – Alameda campus. Diogo Rego, a 3rd year student of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was the winner of the 2025 edition. The student said he was “very grateful” and that it was “an honour to be awarded this scholarship”.
Francisco Melo, Vice President of Técnico for Academic Affairs, highlighted the “ceremony where we celebrate our patrons, but above all, our students”. He praised the role of students within the institution, since “they are one of Técnico’s most valuable assets”. He considered the ceremony an important moment, since “the generosity of the patrons allows our students to focus on their studies, clubs, and extracurricular activities.”

In the presence of tb.lx by Daimler Trucks & Buses representatives, Sérgio Pequito, representing the Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), shared, “little by little, piece by piece, we are building a better world”. He also left a message for the sponsors, noting that “we count on your collaboration to continue making a difference in the lives of our students”.
The scholarship aims at Técnico students enrolled in the Undergraduate and Master’s Programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering, and in the Master’s Programme in Data Science and Engineering.
The tb.lx by Daimler Trucks & Buses scholarship is one of over 20 scholarships to support undergraduate and master’s students at Técnico.
