Emanuel Proença, Técnico alumnus and Executive Board Member at Prio Energy, is the winner of the 2nd edition of the award “40 business leaders of the future under 40 years old”. The ceremony took place this Monday, December 10, at Mercado da Ribeira.

After completing his degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at Técnico, Emanuel Proença reinforced his MBA at Insead (during which he had the opportunity to study not only in Paris but also in Singapore and the USA). Emanuel Proença started his career abroad, at IZET, then he worked at the Boston Consulting Group and Piedade Group. He founded IDareYou, a digital marketing startup.

In 2017, Emanuel Proença ranked 7th in the list of the “40 business leaders of the future under 40 years old” and now he heads the list due to his outstanding management performance at Prio Energy.

The Técnico alumnus has an active involvement in social responsibility projects, through a set of programmes developed by Prio that supports youth sports, road safety and fire prevention.

This award is an initiative of Expresso newspaper and Fórum de Administradores e Gestores de Empresas, which has the partnership of COSEC, Deloitte, PHC, Sonae MC, Mindshift and Informa D & B. There were more than 220 registered participants in the 2nd edition, of which 204 were eligible. Only 60 participants were qualified to attend the first phase of interviews, and 40 were elected.
