Former Electrical and Computer Engineering master’s student João Catelas was one of the winners of the 1st edition of the Alcino Lavrador Recognition Award.
The award, established by Altice Labs, recognises the best undergraduate and master’s students in the fields of Information, Communication and Electronics Technology (ICET) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), from Altice Labs partner universities and polytechnic institutes.
João Catelas was the best Master’s student in Electrical and Computer Engineering and received the award (2,500 euros) that honours Alcino Lavrador, former CEO of Altice Labs.
The alumnus was the winner of the 2023 edition of the Engineer Ivo Gonçalves award, which honours the best Técnico student who, during the year the award is presented, is enrolled in the Master’s Programme in Electrical and Computer Engineering and is specialising in the Energy scientific area.
