Técnico’s Mobility and International Cooperation Centre (NMCI) will coordinate the I-MAT (Innovative Mobility Attracting Tools for Latin America) project.
This project is co-funded by the European Union, for capacity building in higher education. Focused on sharing good internationalisation practices between European and Latin American higher education institutions through a digital approach, the initiative will last for three years. Although the institutions directly involved are European and Latin American, the materials produced, including an app “should serve as inspiration for institutions all over the world”, explains Luís Moreira, coordinator of NMCI. The project aims to increase the number of participants (students, academics, administrative staff) in international mobility programmes.
The kick-off meeting of the project took place at Técnico, from 1st to 3rd March, and, since then, the consortium has been meeting in working groups dedicated to the development of surveys, publications, workshops and training sessions that will capacitate the staff of the institutions involved.
This consortium consists of universities from Lithuania, Poland, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
