Between 25 and 29 November, Instituto Superior Técnico hosted members of universities from Cambodia and the Philippines in intensive staff training activities as part of the UNICATION project. The initiative, coordinated by Técnico, aims to train Asian partners in internationalisation topics and international project management through training and discussion sessions. The project has been running since December 2023 and will last two years.
In addition to the guest training sessions, the UNICATION programme for the training week held at Técnico also included cultural activities aimed at introducing the foreign partners to the Portuguese culture.
During his speech at the opening session, Rui Mendes, Director for International Affairs at Técnico, highlighted that this project ‘aims to create links between the institutions involved’.
In addition to Técnico, the UNICATION partners are Óbuda University (Hungary), the Université Côte d’Azur (France), the University of the Philippines and Batangas State University (Philippines), the Phnom Penh International University, the University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum and the National University of Management (Cambodia).
UNICATION is co-funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme.
