This Wednesday took place the Road 2 Web Summit, an event that anticipates the biggest global event in the area of entrepreneurship and technology, which will be held in Lisbon next November.

On this occasion, a national competition also took place, organised by Portugal Ventures, to choose which startups will be representing Portugal at the Web Summit.

The IST startups selected as winners to showcase their projects at the Web Summit were: GetSocial, HeartGenetics, Magnomics and PETsys Electronics, all members of IST Spin-Off community, and LusoVU, which is a spin-off of Lusospace, which is also part of the IST Spin-Off community.

GetSocial, S.A.
A GetSocial is a content performance analytics platform that helps marketers and publishers to measure, promote and amplify their best content.

HeartGenetics
A HeartGenetics is a Portuguese biotech company that developed “solutions in a box”, including genetic tests and computational tools designed to support clinical diagnosis and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

Magnomics
Magnomics is a diagnostics technology company committed to delivering a new generation of rapid, portable molecular “lab on a chip” diagnostic tests with broad applications in the human health, veterinary, and food industry markets. The initial application will be in the dairy industry, for the identification of bovine mastitis causing pathogens on site.

PETsys – Medical PET Imaging Systems, S.A.
Petsys presents an innovative technology: PET – Positron Emission Tomography, applied to the early detection of breast cancer.

LusoVU
LusoVU is a spin-off of Lusospace (a company that develops and manufactures aerospace software since 2002). LusoVU aims to design, develop and produces augmented reality hardware and software solutions.
