Técnico teams up with everis Portugal, Fidelidade and OutSystems for reskilling programme

The paid program aims to (re) skill recent graduates, masters or other professionals who are looking to invest or accelerate their careers, and develop digital skills.

Instituto Superior Técnico, through its post-graduate and advanced training school, Técnico+, partnered with everis Portugal, Fidelidade and OutSystems to launch of a program that aims to reskill and train OutSystems experts. The “Academia Outsystems Everis & Fidelidade” is a paid program aimed at (re) qualifying recent graduates, masters or professionals from other areas who are interested in investing in a technological career and in accelerating knowledge in OutSystems’ low-code technology.

The training will consist of theoretical and practical modules, on a remote basis, taught by everis, Técnico + and OutSystems, and will be reinforced with various events that promote collaboration and the conclusion of the different program phases. Técnico+ will be in charge of the basic technical training, providing participants with basic knowledge in Computer Science and Informatics Engineering. This basic technical training, which will last 13 weeks, includes key subjects included in Técnico+ courses – Software Engineering and Information Systems – as well as seminars on relevant topics.

Tiago Guerra, Executive Director of Técnico+, says “organisations continue to have enormous difficulties in hiring some IT professionals. Demand for these professionals far exceeds supply. The universities, through degrees and masters, don’t have the capacity to train more people, and this is precisely where advanced training schools like Técnico+ come in, aiming to prepare future professionals in these key areas”.

Nuno Castro, Head of Insurance at everis Portugal, highlights “we are very proud to launch this training program, which offers participants a unique opportunity to meet different challenges and a new future”. “We all know that technology is a growing area, with a great need for talent. This program will help us to partially solve this problem and will allow us, as a country, to reskill high-potential talent with quality training and provide job opportunities in leading companies”.

Teresa Rosas, Head of IT at Fidelidade adds “this partnership will allow Fidelidade to anticipate market trends in the IT sector, to reinvent the ways to develop specialized talent in strategic areas and thus contribute to the development of organisations – which is fully aligned with our long-standing experience in Outsystems technology”.

The 12-month intensive training program also includes Behavioural Training, Specialized Technical Training and participation in OutSystems projects at Fidelidade.

The costs are fully borne by the program promoters – everis and Fidelidade – which also offer a scholarship during the training period and the possibility of getting offered a permanent job at the end of the internship. The program starts on 5th April, in an online format and has more than 30 places available. Applications are open until 19th March.

More than 120 universities worldwide offer OutSystems training programs allowing their students to develop their own applications.
