Ultimaker Education Challenge

The award comprises a 3D Ultimaker 3 printer, vocational training provided by a local partner and a Ultimaker Education Challenge Winner certificate.

The project associated to the curricular unit of Product Development and Entrepreneurship, of which professor Marco Leite is responsible, won the Ultimaker Education Challenge competition.

The jury was composed of Julia Haried, co-founder and executive director at MarkerGirl, Aric Rindfleisch, executive director at Illinois MakerLab, and Marvela van den burg, from Education at Ultimaker.

The professor had the support of HackerSchool throughout the application process. This award is extremely important for the laboratory where additive manufacturing technology projects are developed in partnership with professor Marco Leite.

HackerSchool is a student group at Técnico inspired by the values of the hacker culture, aiming to develop projects based on knowledge convergence within the several areas of engineering. In addition, this student group share the knowledge learnt in the workshops held throughout the semester.
