The University Tuna of the Instituto Superior Técnico (TUIST) won the award for best solist and third best tuna at the Tunas Festival that took place in Aveiro last may 6th and 7th. The XXX International Tunas Festival, organized by the University of Aveiro, took place at the Congress Center of Aveiro, at a time when the festival was celebrating its thirtieth edition.

Azeituna, anTUNiA, Tuna Universitária do Minho, Tuna Académica de Lisboa, Tuna Universitária do Instituto Superior Técnico, Tuna de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal and Cuarentuna de Barcelona were part of this event, in a range of tunas from various locations in the Portugal, Peru and Spain.

This is one of the biggest academic events that takes place in Aveiro, caressed by the inhabitants and the academy, both for the quality of music and the show, and for the animation that takes place in the streets of the city.
