Applications for the 2022 edition of the “Visiting Students” initiative of CMU Portugal Program are open until May 31st.
This initiative allows an immersion period of between two and five months at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA). During this period (no later than the end of December 2022), the selected candidates will develop research projects in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), under the supervision of CMU professors, and will be immersed in their university culture.
The main objective of this initiative is to provide high-quality research opportunities at CMU, offering candidates the possibility to strengthen their knowledge and skills as researchers, as well as to open up new career prospects in ICT.
Recipients
- Students enrolled in 2021/22 to attending a Master degree in ICT, or equivalent, in Portugal;
- Alumni who have completed their master degree in this area in the last two years.
The activities to be developed by the selected candidates will be supervised by the National Co-Directors of the CMU Portugal Program, Inês Lynce (Professor of Técnico, President and Researcher of INESC-ID Lisboa), and Nuno Jardim Nunes (Professor of Técnico/DEI, President and Researcher of ITI / LarSys, and invited researcher at INESC-ID Lisbon).
