IST Press published the 4th edition of the book “O Lápis Mágico. Uma História da Construção da Fotografia”, by Carlos Sousa de Almeida and Carlos M. Fernandes (Editors).

The book gathers texts on nineteenth-century photography and their critical reflections. The selection of essays, scientific communications, short stories and correspondence aimed to illustrate the role of photography in art and science of 19th century.
