The participation of Técnico Students’ Union (AEIST) teams in the final stages of the National University Championships (CNU), held between 7 and 18 April in Coimbra, ended with two podiums and a 4th place.
The best teams in five team sports went head-to-head. The men’s basketball team repeated its success from last season by finishing in 3rd place. The women’s futsal team also made a strong comeback, capturing 3rd place and improving their performance from the previous year. The men’s football team, which had been champions in the 2023/2024 season, placed 4th.
The teams qualified for the national finals after winning the Lisbon University Championships in their respective sports in March.

In the 2024/2025 season, Técnico students have already achieved remarkable success, winning 24 gold, 10 silver, and 24 bronze medals at the National Championships in various individual and team sports, placing them in 4th position in the national ranking.
