IST Press published the third edition of the book “Hidrologia e Recursos Hídricos”, by Álvaro Carmo Vaz and João Reis Hipólito.

This work consolidates and systematizes knowledge in the most relevant areas of hydrology and water resources. From a solid and careful analysis of hydrological phenomena, João Reis Hipólito and Álvaro Carmo Vaz develop the conceptualisation and modelling of these phenomena at scale of hydrographic basins. The scientific rigour of this analysis aims to answer the main questions of hydrology in engineering.

The book compares Portugal and Mozambique, both from a geophysical and socio-economic point of view.
