The Massive Open Online Courses platform at Técnico, MOOC Técnico, relaunched two introductory online courses on epigenetics: “Epigenetics: Foundations” and “Epigenetics: Human Health”.

While the first MOOC covers fundamental concepts of human biology and, from there, explores the main epigenetic mechanisms of our cells, understanding their connection to diseases.

The second volume recovers the idea of the link between epigenetics and disease, explores molecular therapies to restore cellular balance, and covers advances in epigenetics linked to inheritance, pain and memory.

By completing these two MOOCs, the participants will be able to read the scientific literature in this field and take more advanced courses.
