Applications for the Digital Built Accelerator opened on April 8. This initiative, led by DIH DIGITALbuilt, aims to foster innovation in the construction sector.
Developed within a leading innovation ecosystem, the programme is the result of a collaboration between Instituto Superior Técnico, Técnico Venture Lab and Unicorn Factory Lisboa, combining academic excellence, entrepreneurial know-how and strong connections to a global startup ecosystem. Thus, it provides participating teams with the knowledge, network and resources needed to transform ideas into impactful innovation.
The Digital Built Accelerator focuses on three priority areas:
- ConstructTech: focused on the digital transformation of the construction sector, including solutions such as digital platforms, automation, artificial intelligence and management tools that improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance project planning and execution.
- ConTech: dedicated to technologies applied directly to on-site construction processes, such as robotics, 3D printing, prefabrication, sensors and other innovations that optimise project execution and increase productivity.
- New Materials: aimed at the development of more sustainable, efficient and innovative construction materials, including low-carbon alternatives, recycled materials and solutions that contribute to more resilient and environmentally friendly buildings.
Targeted at early-stage and growing startups, the programme offers specialised mentorship, strategic support and access to industrial partners and investors. Its goal is to accelerate the development of innovative solutions and support their entry into the market.
The programme includes several phases, from application selection to project acceleration, culminating in a Demo Day, where startups will have the opportunity to present their solutions to potential investors and partners.
Applications are now open and can be submitted until April 24.
This programme is funded under the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan.
