«The MOOC “Valores Próprios” is an open online course, which runs self-paced, about eigenvalues and eigenvectors with a focus on the Linear Algebra concepts of linear transformations, dynamic systems, and other models.
The proposed models can find applications in steady states algorithms, image compression, PageRank search algorithm, and BigData PCA analysis, amongst others.
Target audience:
Higher education students, both enrolled in Linear Algebra courses, and students who desire to review the concepts in order to apply them to the fields of Statistic, and Artificial Intelligence, in particular Machine Learning.
Materials and certification:
- The course is free and takes place entirely online;
- The contents are always open and participants take the course at their own pace;
- The Certificate of Accomplishment will be released to anyone who successfully completed the course by achieving 60% of the assessment activities;
- The course materials will remain available to all registered users after the end of this edition, so that they can return to the content at a later date;
- All texts and subtitles of the videos included in the MOOC are provided in both English and Portuguese.
