This Tuesday, October 15th, professor James Larus (School of Computer and Communication Sciences – École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne/IC-EPFL), gave a Distinguished Lecture titled “Programming Non-Volatile Memory”. The professor shared his knowledge with faculty, researchers and students.
“First of all, it’s important to understand few important things of NVM, namely that it only consumes power during memory access and has the capability to hold saved data even if the power is turned off”, he said.
Programming NVM, the lifecycle of NVM and its consistency, and NVM recovery process were some of the topics addressed by professor James Larus.
