The presentation of the investment platform prototype using blockchain technology took place on March 14. The idea came from the Portuguese Association of Investment Funds, Pension Funds and Asset Management (APFIPP) in partnership with Instituto Superior Técnico and has the support of Deloitte and CMVM.

Técnico collaborated actively in the development of this platform, namely in technology validation concerning data security. This platform aims to simplify the Investment Funds negotiation, which is considered to be safer and of relatively low cost, not requiring the intervention of third parties in the process.

Professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Técnico, attended the protocol signature ceremony expressing his enthusiasm to associate Técnico to this type of technological and financial solutions “we are always available to work with the Portuguese industries”.
