From 10 to 12 November 2026, Lisbon will once again host Web Summit, one of the world’s leading international events in technology and innovation. Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, will once again attend the event and is now accepting applications from students and startups within its ecosystem to be part of this experience.

Técnico’s presence aims to showcase the work developed at the School in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, technology and knowledge transfer, while fostering new connections between the academic community and the innovation ecosystem.

Applications are open in the following categories:

Students – Applications are open until 21 September (until 11.59 p.m.)

Selected students will join the Técnico team throughout the three-day event, supporting the School’s representation and engaging with visitors and international participants. Undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students enrolled at Técnico in the 2026/2027 academic year, with an interest in technology and innovation, availability for all three days of the event and good English communication skills, are eligible to apply.

Startups – Applications are open until 13 September

Applications are open for 6 startups from the Técnico ecosystem to join the Alpha programme at Web Summit 2026. Selected startups will receive a 100% discount on the programme registration fee, which includes three tickets for all three days of the event, an exhibition stand for one day, and access to masterclasses, roundtables and other exclusive programmes for startups.
