The training course “Law and Practice of Artificial Intelligence,” offered by the Lisbon School of the Faculty of Law of UCP, through Católica Next, and by Técnico+, in partnership with the Abreu Advogados Knowledge Institute (IdC), continues the work developed since 2018 by the Research Group in Law and AI of the Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law.
The European AI Regulation (Reg AI) is an extensive and complex document, whose understanding benefits from an interdisciplinary approach that combines the technological and legal perspectives. This is one of the greatest advantages of this course, whose faculty includes academics (from law, engineering, and ethics) and practitioners (from legal practice and business).
Following the success of the first two editions, the course delves deeper into the applicable regulatory framework from a practical perspective.
This edition will consider the changes to the RegAI (Regulation on the Protection of Artificial Intelligence) introduced by the “Digital Omnibus on AI” Regulation, as well as the new challenges posed by the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence.
