For five days, the Italian Alps will be the meeting point for advanced training in science and engineering in the European context. From 11 to 15 May 2026, more than 200 participants, including master’s students, PhD candidates, researchers, professors, and industry representatives, will gather for the 3rd edition of the Unite! Research School, an international programme of advanced training promoted by the European university Alliance, Unite! Applications are open via the Metacampus platform from 16 February to 15 March 2026.
Organised by Politecnico di Torino, the Unite! Research School is structured around three major essential thematic pillars for the European technological and scientific development:
- Digital Transition: focus on Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Industry 4.0;
- Energetic Transition: including Sustainable Energy, Smart Cities, and Water Management
- Enabling Technologies: with special mention of Space Technologies and Biological Engineering
The programme combines specialised lectures, cross-cutting skills courses, networking sessions, forums with industry leaders, visits to laboratories and companies, as well as team case studies, to foster the dialogue between academia, research, and the productive sector, in an international and multidisciplinary context.
Master’s and doctoral students from universities integrating the Unite! alliance, of which Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, is a member, are eligible to apply.
