Apply for an Undergraduate Programme by Change of Course/Institution

The admission process through change of Course/Institution, regulated by Ordinance No. 181-D/2015 of June 19th, is directed to the 1st study cycle students, who intend to enrol in an Undergraduate or Integrated Master Programme, into a different programme than the one in which the student was previously, regardless of an interruption or not in the registration for higher education.

This method is also applied to the students who have attended, but not concluded, the 1st study cycle of a foreign higher education programme.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be ranked by the coordinator of the course for which they are applying, taking into account the following criteria:

  • High School final grade (30%);
  • Grades of the National Exams required (30%);
  • Current undergraduate/bachelor programme grade (40%).

National Exams:

The minimum final application grades required to change course/institution are the ones of National Admission.

Application Fees

An application fee payment is required for each application, which is not refunded after the publication of results.

Fees

  • Students and former students of Universidade de Lisboa: 50 euros.
  • Other applicants: 100 euros.

Payment

  • After submission of the application process an ATM reference will be generated to proceed with the payment.
  • The payment shall be done until 3 working days after the submission and sealing the application.
  • The application fee is not refundable.

Required documents

You can only apply for one course. In order to complete the application process it is necessary to submit the following documents scanned as PDF files:

  1. Técnico Students
    • Recent Photo;
    • Up-to-date CV;
    • Display of identification document (passport, foreign citizen card or other appropriate), or, when authorized by the candidate, a simple photocopy of the identification document;
    • Bank transfer slip of the payment for 50 euros referring to the application fee;
    • Access application history report for Higher Education;

    Técnico Lisboa has the legal right not to accept incomplete applications (missing documents or missing payment of fee).

  2. External Students

    Portuguese Students

    • Recent Photo;
    • Up-to-date CV;
    • Official academic transcript of the candidate’s university records;
    • Confirmation of enrolment;
    • Display of identification document (passport, foreign citizen card or other appropriate), or, when authorized by the candidate, a simple photocopy of the identification document;
    • Bank transfer slip of the payment for 100 euros referring to the application fee (With exception to the UTL/UL students and ex-students which pay an amount of 50 euros);

    In addition, foreign students must submit the following documents:

    • Official academic transcript that you have completed secondary education (ENEM for Brazilian candidates);
    • Official academic transcript that you have completed secondary education or equivalent in the country of origin (with description);
    • Document specifying the type of grading scheme of the academic records;
    • Statement under Oath that the applicant does not have Portuguese nationality nor any other country nationality that is member of the EU and fulfills the requirements needed for the Access and Admission category for International Students (please find the document attached);
    • Display of identification document (passport, foreign citizen card or other appropriate), or, when authorized by the candidate, a simple photocopy of the identification document;

    According to the Regulation the documents have to be verified and certified by the Hague Apostille or by the Portuguese Embassy or Consulate in your country. Documents must be selected in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French. If the original documents are not in these languages, a translation into English or Portuguese must be submitted, with a valid translation by the consular service or embassy.

    Técnico Lisboa has the legal right not to accept incomplete applications (missing documents or missing payment of fee).

Tuition Fees

National and EU Students: For the academic year 2026/27 the tuition fee for the 1st study cycle courses (undergraduate or integrated masters) is 697,00 euros.

International Students: Students from outside the EU that apply for an undergraduate or an integrated masters will pay an annual fee of 7000 euros.
