«The Lisbon Machine Learning School (LxMLS) takes place annually at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa. LxMLS 2026 will be a six-day event, scheduled to take place from 20 to 25 July, in person.
The school covers a variety of machine learning topics, ranging from theory to practice, which are important for solving natural language processing problems that arise in different areas of application.
LxMLS is aimed at researchers and postgraduate students in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computational linguistics, computer scientists interested in statistics and machine learning, and industry professionals wishing to deepen their knowledge of these topics.
The event is jointly organised by Técnico, Instituto de Telecomunicações, Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Investigação e Desenvolvimento (INESC-ID), Lisbon ELLIS Unit for Learning and Intelligent Systems (LUMLIS), Unbabel, Zendesk, and IBM Research.»
