The first “Alumni Talks – PhD Edition” will take place on June 16, in virtual format (via Zoom). The session will take place at 17:00 and will be held in English.
In this edition, Técnico’s doctoral students will have the opportunity to learn about the path of some alumni who, like themselves, have pursued a PhD degree. It will be an informal conversation in which students will be able to clarify doubts, prepare their professional careers, explore options and create a network of contacts.
Registration until 15th June 2021, at 23:55. Participation is free but the number of participants who can join the virtual session is limited. The selection of participants will be made on the order of registration.
The alumni who will participate in this edition are:
• Francisco Silva Pinto – Researcher and Consultant in Engineering and Management at CERis (Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability – IST research unit); PhD degree in Engineering and Management.
• Lígia Diana Amorim – Postdoctoral Scholar at Berkeley Lab; PhD degree in Physics Engineering.
• Renato Matias da Silva – Head of Advanced Analytics at Banco Santander Portugal; Doctoral program in Computer and Information Systems Security – Not Concluded.
• Vasco Portugal – CEO and Co-Founder at Sensei; SES Doctor of Philosophy degree (Sustainable Energy Systems doctoral program jointly developed by MIT).
The event is organized by TT@Técnico in collaboration with Técnico PhD Student Club and powered by Santander Universidades.
