«The Centre for Management Studies of Instituto Superior Técnico (CEGIST) is pleased to announce the seminar “Meta-Solver: The Next Generation of VRPSolver”, by Teobaldo Bulhões (Federal University of Paraiba), as part of CEGIST’s seminar series.
The seminar will take place on 29 May, at 3 p.m., online via Zoom.
VRPSolver is a leading branch-and-cut-and-price solver for vehicle routing problems (VRP), holding many of the best-known exact results in the field, with the Bucket Graph Solver at its pricing core.
This talk introduces the next generation, Bucket Graph Meta-Solver, a refactoring that separates the general bucket-graph engine from resource-specific functions such as label extension, dominance, and concatenation. The result is a framework in which users can define new resources to tackle more complex routing variants. Computational experiments on the Cumulative Cost VRP and the Simultaneous Pickup and Delivery VRP illustrate the power of the approach.
