«The Conference “Modernist women interior designers and artists: to deepen the reading of the different expressions of female creativity” will be held at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, on March 7 and 8, 2024, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The programme includes a guided tour to the Museum of Design and Fashion (MUDE), in Lisbon, and to the Museum of Casa das Histórias Paula Rego, in Cascais, on March 9.
This event is organised by Docomomo Portugal, an organisation based at Instituto Superior Técnico, chaired by Ana Tostões, a researcher at the Center for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture (CiTUA), and secretariat by Zara Castelo Ferreira, a PhD student at CiTUA, who will participate as Keynote Speakers in the conference.
The conference is organised in collaboration with Docomomo ISC/Interior Design.
The main goal of this conference is to provide a platform for in-depth discussions, dissemination, and the exchange of ongoing research within the Docomomo ISC/ID, with a specific focus on the perspective of female creativity.»
