The Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) will organise the 3rd Data Science School and Symposium from 27th June to 1st July 2022, in Coimbra.
The event is aimed at PhD students and young post-docs in physics and engineering, with the goal to show the huge synergies existing between fundamental physics and industry.
The event is structured in two parts:
- a School (June 27-28 & July, 1);
- a Symposium “Bridging Fundamental Research and Industry” (June, 29-30).
The first three days will be dedicated to courses on data science techniques currently used in high energy physics, while during the symposium participants will get a perspective of current trends and needs in companies.
