«The Industry Day of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM) at Instituto Superior Técnico will take place on October 31st in the Great Hall, at Alameda Campus, bringing together professors, researchers, students and companies from various sectors, with a view to boosting and facilitating future cooperation between DEM and the business community.

In this 2nd edition, collaboration mechanisms for funded projects will be presented, companies will provide pitches with proposed challenges, and MSc and PhD candidates will provide pitches regarding their thesis that are candidates for prizes. DEM’s ability to respond to business challenges will also be discussed, and, in round table mode, the challenges of Industry 5.0 will be addressed: sustainability, resilience, and human-centric.

During the coffee break and lunch, it will be possible to find out more about the various projects of our Student Organisations and some MSc and PhD theses displayed on posters.
