The Open Laboratories DEQ 2017, organised by the Department of Chemical Engineering (DEQ) at Técnico, will take place from 6th to 10th February, and are intended for students from basic and secondary education.

This event is divided in Open Laboratories (Secondary Education), Open Laboratories Junior (2nd and 3rd cycles of Basic Education) and Open Laboratories Kids (1st cycle of Basic Education), and aims to disseminate Science among young people motivating them to Science and Technology, namely to Chemistry.

2100 students and 150 professors from basic and secondary education are currently enrolled in the Open Laboratories, as well as dozens of students and professors from Técnico.

This event will include visits to laboratories, laboratory experiments and lectures given by former students who entered the labour market.
