CMU Portugal promotes a seminar on the topic “Why are we still talking about Gender Balance in STEM?”, on 23rd October 2019. Lenore Blum (Distinguished Career Professor of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, CMU) will be the invited speaker.
The opening session will take place at 10:00 and will be attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, professor Manuel Heitor.
Professor Helena Geirinhas Ramos (DEEC/IT; Coordinator of the Gender Balance Group at IST) will host the opening session in the afternoon, which starts at 14:00.
