Técnico is partner of the European project KnowHy – Improving the Knowledge in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology for Technicians (coordinated by Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking – FCH-JU and funded by the European Commission) that aims at providing to the widest possible audience of technicians specific training modules, practical, in an appropriate format, to facilitate the deployment of the FC&H2 technologies expected to enter the market within the time frame 2014-2020.
The first training course will focus on fuel cells and hydrogen.
This is a free and innovative training that will cover the following topics:
• multilingual e-learning platform
• 3D games, videos and pedagogic exercises
• practical sessions
• digital training manual
The 105-hour training course will comprise:
• a core module that provides an overview on fuel cells fundamentals (45 hours)
• a specialisation module focused on hydrogen production and handling or fuel cell for transport (60 hours)
Learning is carried out in accordance with the availability of each trainee. Trainees can optionally attend both specialisation modules.
In Portugal the course starts on October 17. The presence of trainees is only required at:
• practical session of core module that will be held at IST on 11th November 2016
• practical session of specialisation module – hydrogen production and handling, which will be held on 21st December 2016 or practical session of specialisation module – fuel cell for transport, which will be held on 16th March 2017.
A certificate attesting training or attendance will be issued at the end.
